Kristin Sweet Cherry

KRISTIN CHERRY

$84.50

First created in Geneva, New York in 1938- this cold hardy cherry became available publicly in 1982. Bred for its cold hardiness- this is one of the few sweet cherry trees tolerant to Zone 4- another is Lapins. The fruit is glossy and ripens to a deep purple color. Most people eat the cherry right off the trees but can be used in tarts and fruit salad. It is an abundant grower and produces annually. However, its talent lies in its hardiness- one tree endured temperatures down to -25. Just plant it on a southern facing slope to catch that early Spring sun.

Mature Height: 15-20′

Sun: Full Sun

Ripening Time: July

Pollination: Required from another sweet cherry
